Aftermarket Engineer at Strukton Rail

Strukton Rail is expanding and is therefore looking for an aftermarket engineer for the Power business area. The Power business area currently consists of about 22 employees and works to deliver power supply facilities for railway infrastructure.

We also deliver rectifier stations, switching centers, and transformer stations to customers such as Trafikverket, BaneNor in Norway, and sometimes even customers in export markets like the USA and South Korea. The position is a permanent employment based at our office in Västerås, but since we operate in both Sweden and Norway, travel is continuously included in the role.

Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for and carry out your own projects within the aftermarket. The work includes troubleshooting and repair of power supply facilities for railways, including high-power converters, switchgear, and station computers. You will also work on energizing power supply facilities and performing inspections, testing, and commissioning. To perform these tasks, you will need to take responsibility for electrical safety at the work site.

We are looking for someone who

Has an electrical engineering background, is a high school engineer or a civil engineer, with a focus on power electronics. You have high technical competence with practical experience from power systems and project work. We are looking for someone with good computer skills and MS Office knowledge as well as a B driver's license. We consider it an advantage if you have electrical safety training and practical experience in electrical safety work. If you speak other languages, this is also an advantage.
